The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) is developing Maryland’s Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Plan (ZEVIP). This plan outlines the strategy for statewide deployment of charging infrastructure to support light, medium, and heavy-duty zero-emission vehicles. As part of this effort, MDOT developed a National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (NEVI) Plan describing how Maryland intends to use NEVI formula funds to implement the federal NEVI program.

Assedo led the overall design concept and branding for both the 2024 NEVI and 2026 ZEVIP reports, ensuring consistency, clarity, and a strong visual identity. The team also integrated accessibility features across both documents to improve usability for all audiences.
In support of the plan development, Assedo helped analyze and translate a public survey into Spanish to gather public input on Maryland’s EV infrastructure. Additionally, the team supported engagement efforts by analyzing interactive polling data collected during three public NEVI informational webinars and publishing newsletters related to ZEVIP and NEVI updates to ensure ongoing public awareness and engagement.
